Contrast-enhanced spectral mammography:
a promising
breast imaging tool in the evaluation of patients referred from breast cancer
screening programs
In this article,
we present a
summary of our recent study, in which we evaluated the performance of
Contrast-Enhanced Spectral Mammography (CESM) in women referred from a breast
cancer screening program. We showed that CESM is a powerful problem-solving tool
that enables false-positive findings to be ruled out quickly, and true-positive
cases to be detected with a high degree of confidence.
