Heart Disease Protein Also Linked to Brain Damage

The serum levels of a protein ( NT-pro BNP) — already associated with heart disease — have now been found also to be linked to early-stage brain damage,
according to a recent study [1].
Heart disease and brain disease exact a major burden on society, and the incidence of these diseases is expected to increase significantly due to the rapidly aging population.
