The University Hospital of Ghent (UZG) in the Belgian province of East Flanders is one of the biggest in the Flemish speaking part
of Belgium. With more than 1000 beds and large outpatient clinics, the hospital has a necessarily big, busy and efficient diagnostic radiology
department.
In addition, there are active research programs, principally in the field of neuroradiology. The department recently installed a new PACS system. We spoke to Prof.
Rik Achten, head of the department of radiology.
