Mindray, one of the world’s leading developers and providers of advanced medical imaging devices and solutions, presented its ‘Reveal What Matters’ concept at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna, Austria. This concept places science, global health equity, and sustainability at the center of the company’s activities. The focus in Vienna was on the new Resona A20 premium ultrasound system and the MiCo+ Medical Imaging IT solution, the quality of which visitors could see for themselves in workshops and live sessions.

The Resona A20 system is based on the new Acoustic Intelligence Technology (AIT) platform and takes ultrasound imaging performance to a new level. It supports clinical experts in precise diagnosis and scientific research and will change the future of medical diagnostics. The AFM transducers cover a wide range of clinical applications and provide excellent imaging performance for whole-body imaging. These next-generation transducers incorporate advanced technologies to improve energy conversion efficiency, provide ultra-wideband coverage and enhance acoustic focusing capabilities to ensure accurate clinical diagnoses.

Innovative tools and solutions

Artificial intelligence (AI) is inevitable in the future of ultrasound. Resona A20 already offers a wide range of smart tools that facilitate daily workflows, improving accuracy and efficiency. This multi-parametric ultrasound system supports examinations in thyroid, breast, carotid, liver, urogenital and MSK applications. All the software solutions improve image quality and significantly reduce time-consuming tasks in clinical practice.

Clinical excellence

Equipped with a wide range of innovative imaging technologies, the Resona A20 supports clinicians in cutting-edge clinical research. For example, Super Resolution CEUS (SR CEUS) shows details of blood perfusion at the micrometer level and helps clinicians investigate early microcirculatory changes in lesions. In a collaborative workshop with Bracco, interested attendees were able to see the quality for themselves.

In addition, Sound Touch Visco (STVi), a novel method for assessing tissue viscosity, shows great potential for studies on chronic liver diseases and tumors. By combining cutting-edge technology with the insights of leading medical experts, the Resona A20 improves current diagnostic capabilities and opens up new avenues for clinical research and treatment. This revolutionary system emphasizes Mindray’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of medical imaging.

The MiCo+  IT solution connects multiple imaging modalities and medical institutions. It offers a range of specialized applications on a variable platform for different clinical scenarios, such as telemedicine, online education and quality control in imaging. Connecting devices, healthcare professionals and facilities opens the door for professional and cross-border communities to create better medical imaging services. “If you use the application, you can initiate a bi-directional collaboration. It places you within a community. For example, an expert communicating with a group of 1000 students, a radiologist speaking to a colleague on a totally different continent. It opens up a world of possibilities,” explains Stéphane Husson, European Marketing Manager at  Mindray.

Similar to a virtual classroom, remote ultrasound education platforms allow healthcare professionals to access high-quality educational resources, participate in interactive training sessions and engage in real-time discussions with experts from around the world. This is of particular value to areas with limited educational and medical resources and ultimately leads to improved patient care and outcomes on a global scale.

Sustainability at all levels
