Avicenna.AI has announced the launch of AVI, a new platform designed to support seamless deployment of medical imaging AI solutions across hospital and enterprise environments. According to the company, AVI provides fast, scalable access to AI applications while maintaining compatibility with existing radiology workflows.
AVI integrates directly with PACS and RIS without requiring new viewers, worklists, or workflow changes. The platform operates automatically in the background, ensuring that clinicians continue using their standard tools while IT teams manage a simplified deployment process. Finance teams benefit as well, with a lower total cost of ownership due to reduced maintenance and support needs.
Cyril Di Grandi, co-founder and CEO of Avicenna.AI, said: "Fast, automatic, and invisible, AVI is the platform that makes AI work the way it should – no extra training required, no changes to workflow, no new viewers and no additional clicks. We designed AVI to remove barriers to AI adoption, so radiologists, clinicians and healthcare institutions can benefit from AI insights without disruption."
Centralized Platform Designed for Scalability
AVI’s centralized configuration and orchestration capabilities allow healthcare institutions to manage AI applications from a single interface. A one-time integration provides access to all AI tools hosted on the platform. Initially, AVI will support Avicenna’s full CINA portfolio, including AI solutions for:
- Intracranial hemorrhage (CINA-ICH)
- Large vessel occlusion (CINA-LVO)
- Aortic dissection (CINA-AD)
- Pulmonary embolism (CINA-PE and CINA-iPE)
- Vertical compression fractures (CINA-VCF and CINA-VCF Quantix)
- Cervical spine fractures (CINA-CSpine)
- ASPECT score quantification for stroke severity (CINA-ASPECTS)
These applications aim to support clinicians in identifying and triaging critical findings across a broad range of acute conditions.
Infrastructure Built for Hospitals, Networks, and Teleradiology Providers
Designed for environments ranging from single hospitals to large healthcare networks and teleradiology services, AVI supports plug-and-play AI deployment with minimal infrastructure requirements. The platform is compatible with global interoperability standards, including DICOM, HL7, and FHIR, allowing seamless connection to existing systems.
Security and Compliance Features
Security-focused design is a key element of AVI. The platform supports GDPR- and HIPAA-compliant workflows, with data de-identified before analysis and re-identified after processing. Encryption, access control, and full audit trails help safeguard patient information throughout the workflow.
