US outpatient imaging provider RadNet has acquired French radiology AI developer Gleamer, integrating the company into its digital health subsidiary DeepHealth and creating what the companies describe as the largest provider of radiology clinical AI solutions worldwide.

The Paris-based firm brings a fast-growing portfolio of AI tools used across musculoskeletal, breast, lung and neurological imaging, with more than 700 customer contracts in 44 countries. Gleamer’s software portfolio includes multiple FDA-cleared and CE-marked solutions designed to streamline clinical workflows and improve diagnostic accuracy.

The deal significantly broadens DeepHealth’s global footprint and strengthens its position in AI-powered imaging informatics, particularly in routine imaging modalities such as X-ray, an area where Gleamer has built strong adoption.

Gleamer employs more than 130 professionals and operates a cloud-first SaaS platform, serving hospitals, imaging centers and healthcare systems worldwide.

Addressing Rising Imaging Demand and Workforce Shortages

RadNet said the acquisition comes as healthcare systems face rising imaging volumes alongside a growing shortage of radiologists, increasing demand for automation and AI-assisted workflows.

Dr. Howard Berger, President and CEO of RadNet, commented: “As imaging volumes continue to rise amid an accelerating shortage of radiologists worldwide, reengineering high-volume workflows — particularly routine imaging such as X-ray, ultrasound and mammography — is becoming essential to sustaining access, efficiency and quality of care. For radiologists and providers, the key lies in advancing automated exam prioritization and draft reporting. The acquisition of Gleamer uniquely positions DeepHealth to expand its impact across routine imaging and high-impact acute diagnostic care and accelerate the delivery of automated diagnostics.”

Gleamer’s leadership in AI-driven X-ray analysis and automated reporting is expected to help DeepHealth expand solutions for automated exam prioritization, draft reporting and clinical workflow automation.

Building a Comprehensive Multimodality AI Portfolio

Following the acquisition, DeepHealth’s portfolio will span MRI, CT, X-ray, mammography and ultrasound, covering screening, detection, interpretation and follow-up across several high-burden diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative conditions.

Christian Allouche, Co-Founder and CEO of Gleamer, said: “Joining DeepHealth marks an exciting new chapter for our business and team members. Our team has been driven by a mission to improve patient care and access, and we are proud of the impact we have had on our customers and patients worldwide. By combining our AI capabilities, product portfolio and strong commercial team with that of DeepHealth, we are poised to shape the future of intelligent imaging at scale.”

Kees Wesdorp, President and CEO of RadNet’s Digital Health Division, DeepHealth, added: “This acquisition brings together two leaders on strong growth trajectories to create a new standard of AI-powered care.”

RadNet expects the integration of Gleamer’s AI and workflow technologies to drive productivity gains and operational efficiencies across its imaging network, particularly in X-ray, which accounts for nearly 25% of RadNet’s imaging volume. Deployment across the network is expected to begin delivering measurable improvements in patient care and cost efficiency by Q3 2026.
