ECR 2026: DeepHealth and Gleamer Outline Vision for AI Scale and Consolidation in Radiology

Growing adoption of AI in radiology is driving demand for larger integrated platforms

At ECR 2026, leaders from DeepHealth and Gleamer discussed the strategic implications of their recently announced partnership and what it could mean for the future of AI in medical imaging.

The collaboration brings together DeepHealth’s enterprise imaging platform with Gleamer’s rapidly expanding portfolio of AI applications. For DeepHealth CEO Kees Wesdorp, the move reflects a deliberate strategy to strengthen the company’s position as a leading clinical AI platform.

Gleamer has seen significant growth in recent years, expanding beyond its initial focus on musculoskeletal X-ray analysis to develop a broader suite of AI tools for radiology. According to Wesdorp, the company’s technical expertise and regulatory experience make it a strong fit for DeepHealth’s ecosystem.

Speaking at ECR, Gleamer founder and CEO Christian Allouche emphasized that the partnership also reflects broader dynamics in the AI imaging market. As adoption increases and the number of available algorithms grows, he expects the field to consolidate around a smaller number of large platforms capable of integrating and deploying AI solutions at scale.

Through the combination, the companies aim to expand access to AI tools across clinical workflows, from image interpretation to reporting and operational efficiency. The partnership also benefits from DeepHealth’s connection to U.S. imaging provider RadNet, which provides access to large volumes of clinical imaging data and real-world deployment environments.

Both companies see the collaboration as accelerating innovation while addressing key challenges facing healthcare systems, including growing imaging demand and persistent workforce shortages in radiology.
