At RSNA 2025, Siemens Healthineers presented a range of imaging innovations across X-ray, angiography, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), focusing on technologies designed to support both diagnostic precision and image-guided interventions.
In mammography, the company showcased ClearCEM and ClearCEM Biopsy, new capabilities for contrast-enhanced breast imaging. According to Dr. Ronald Fröhlich, Head of Marketing X-Ray Products at Siemens Healthineers, the technology combines iodine-based contrast agents with advanced algorithms to make tumors more clearly visible. The contrast information can also be integrated directly into biopsy procedures, helping clinicians position the needle precisely at the lesion site.
Siemens also introduced the LUMINOS Q.namix R, a remote-controlled fluoroscopy system developed to simplify complex examinations through a redesigned interface created in collaboration with experienced users.
In interventional radiology, Peter Hildebrandt, Marketing Manager Interventional Radiology at Siemens Healthineers, presented a new angiography portfolio comprising three product families and eight systems. All incorporate an AI-based imaging chain intended to reduce noise and improve visualization of anatomical structures without increasing radiation dose.
Nicole Steinbacher, Head of Marketing Magnetic Resonance Systems at Siemens Healthineers, introduced the MAGNETOM Free.XL MRI scanner, designed for both diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures. The extra-wide bore is intended to improve patient access and procedural comfort, while helium-free cooling technology allows flexible installation.
Together, the showcased technologies illustrate Siemens Healthineers’ approach to combining advanced imaging systems, artificial intelligence, and workflow optimization across a wide range of clinical applications.
