Expanding Teleradiology Capabilities

Premier Radiology Services has announced the acquisition of Global Imaging Solutions (GLOBIS), a teleradiology provider specializing in subspecialty imaging interpretations for outpatient imaging centers and orthopedic practices. According to the company, the acquisition is aimed at strengthening its national teleradiology coverage and enhancing subspecialty expertise.

The addition of GLOBIS expands Premier’s ability to support advanced diagnostic imaging needs across outpatient settings, where demand for timely and specialized radiology services continues to grow.

“Welcoming the GLOBIS team marks another exciting step for Premier, bringing a talented group of fellowship-trained radiologists, an expanded client base, and a dedicated support team. Together, these strengths enhance our platform and position us to meet the growing demand for high-quality teleradiology services in outpatient imaging,” said Andy Copilevitz, CEO of Premier.

Strengthening Subspecialty Imaging Services

GLOBIS provides subspecialty radiology interpretations across a range of clinical areas, supporting imaging centers and orthopedic practices with access to expert reads. By integrating GLOBIS into its network, Premier aims to expand its subspecialized capabilities and improve service delivery.

Key expected benefits of the acquisition include:

  • Expanded access to fellowship-trained radiologists
  • Broader subspecialty imaging coverage
  • Enhanced support for outpatient imaging centers
  • Increased capacity to manage growing imaging volumes

The combined organization is positioned to address increasing demand for teleradiology services, particularly in settings where access to subspecialty expertise may be limited.

Integration of Technology and Clinical Expertise

Both Premier Radiology Services and GLOBIS were founded by radiologists to support radiologists, reflecting a shared commitment to physician autonomy, clinical excellence, and high-quality radiology services. Following the acquisition, the GLOBIS team will gain access to Premier’s technology platform and administrative infrastructure.

According to the company, this integration is intended to support:

  • Improved workflow efficiency in radiology reporting
  • Access to advanced diagnostic imaging platforms
  • Collaboration across a larger clinical network

The combined platform is designed to enable more efficient delivery of imaging interpretations while maintaining clinical quality and consistency.

“At GLOBIS, we have always believed in providing imaging solutions that go beyond service to create a personal connection with our clients,” said Jack Considine, M.D., CEO and Co-Founder of GLOBIS. “This acquisition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team, and I am confident that Premier will continue to advance our mission by combining strengths and expanding our reach to deliver exceptional service.”

Continuity and Operational Expansion

Dr. Considine and the GLOBIS team will join Premier following the acquisition, ensuring continuity for existing customers and referring providers. The integration of clinical teams and support staff is expected to strengthen operational capacity and maintain service quality.

The acquisition reflects ongoing consolidation in the teleradiology market, as providers expand networks to meet increasing demand for remote imaging interpretation, faster turnaround times, and subspecialty expertise.
