Lunit, a global leader in AI-driven cancer diagnostics, has entered into a strategic five-year framework agreement with Starvision Service GmbH, Germany’s largest private radiology network. The partnership marks a significant step in the integration of artificial intelligence into clinical imaging workflows, spanning 79 radiology centers across seven German states.

Under the agreement, Starvision will implement a suite of Lunit’s advanced AI solutions across its network, including:

  • Lunit INSIGHT CXR: for AI-based chest X-ray interpretation

  • Lunit INSIGHT MMG: for mammography screening and diagnostics

  • Lunit INSIGHT DBT: for digital breast tomosynthesis analysis

  • RBfracture: for automated fracture detection

Initial rollouts are already underway. At Radiologische Allianz Hamburg, Lunit’s mammography AI supports the region’s breast cancer screening program. Meanwhile, Die Radiologie, a leading Bavarian imaging group with over 20 clinical sites, has also integrated Lunit's technology—collectively enabling around 120,000 breast cancer screenings per year across the two institutions.

“Lunit’s AI supports our radiologists in delivering faster, more accurate diagnoses,” said Uwe Pfeifer, CEO of Starvision. “This strengthens clinical confidence while freeing up time to focus on personalized patient care.”

Scalable, phased deployment across Germany

The framework agreement allows additional Starvision locations and new affiliates to join the AI rollout at any stage, ensuring broad scalability. As part of a phased implementation, new deployments and pilot studies are ongoing, with individual site-level contracts being established within the Starvision group. The partnership positions Lunit as a key player in Germany’s evolving radiology landscape, where demand for AI-supported diagnostics is accelerating. “This collaboration with Starvision brings us closer to our mission of embedding AI into routine care,” said Brandon Suh, CEO of Lunit. “We are advancing a future where technology enhances physician expertise, helping improve outcomes for millions of patients in Germany and beyond.” The alliance underscores both companies’ commitment to digitally transforming radiology, advancing diagnostic quality, and delivering AI-enhanced precision medicine on a national scale.
