MedDream and VELMENI have announced a collaboration to develop an AI-powered imaging workflow built on AWS HealthImaging. The joint solution, designed to automate clinical image analysis and enhance cloud-based diagnostic workflows, will be featured at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) booth during RSNA 2025, held November 30 to December 4 in Chicago.
The project integrates VELMENI’s AI platform with MedDream’s cloud-ready DICOM viewer to automate imaging steps that typically require 20–90 minutes of manual work. According to the companies, the aim is to streamline routine imaging tasks and support healthcare organizations as they transition to AI-enabled, cloud-native infrastructures.
Automating Dental Imaging Workflows
The solution has already been integrated by one of the largest dental networks in the U.S. Using AWS HealthImaging as the foundation, the system:
- Detects mandibular nerve canals
- Identifies key diagnostic image views
- Automatically generates panoramic reconstructions
- Enables clinicians to perform measurements in seconds via MedDream’s viewer
By eliminating manual variability, the system is designed to support faster review and improved workflow consistency.

Although the demonstration centers on dental imaging, MedDream and VELMENI emphasize that the architecture provides a template for AI adoption across radiology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and other imaging specialties. The companies position their joint solution as an adaptable framework for healthcare organizations seeking to modernize imaging workflows.

Attendees at RSNA 2025 can view the automated workflow demo at the AWS booth. The companies will highlight how the technology reduces manual imaging operations from hours to seconds, building on MedDream’s prior AWS HealthImaging integration showcased at RSNA 2024.
